Weltevreden Park Clinic gets spoilt
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Staff and patients receive an unexpected treat at the Weltevreden Park Clinic.
ANC committee members of Ward 126 gathered at the Weltevreden Park Clinic to serve staff and patients warm eats on 17 July.
In the spirit of late former President Nelson Mandela, the members made muffins, soup, tea and coffee to help warm tummies at the clinic.
Warren Mackrill, a committee member of Ward 126 said, “We wanted to support the clinic and so we chose to do it today before Mandela Day as the clinic is open today.”
He and other members collected funds together as a ward in order to supply all the goods for the day.
“I really hope this initiative helps benefit the community as a whole,” said Mackrill.
The team also donated four dustbins to the clinic.
Head sister Margret Mashinini said, “We are very grateful for the all the work they are doing here today, we will use the dustbins well.”
