Jaws of Life used to extricate man

Fire and Rescue Services had to use the jaws of life to extricate the man.

A 31-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a bridge pillar on the N1 under the Gordon Road bridge yesterday.

ER24 paramedics and other medical services swiftly arrived on scene and found the man trapped in the vehicle.

Fire and Rescue Services had to use the jaws of life to extricate the man.

According to ER24’s Chitra Bodasing, the man was assessed and found to have sustained multiple critical injuries.

He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
