Charter College kick-starts 67 minutes for Mandela

RADIOKOP — Pupils show some love for the animals for Mandela Day project.

Pupils from Charter College in Radiokop did their bit for Mandela Day on 14 July by paying a visit to the Randburg SPCA.

The group donated bags of food and money they had collected to the local animal shelter.

“One of our educators is an animal lover and we have been working with the SPCA for some time. This also brings awareness to the pupils on loving animals and not subjecting them to cruelty,” said the administrator at the school, Kobie Riley.

The pupils from the high school did their fair share of playing with the animals and walking through the kennels and cages. They also bought books and ornaments at the charity shop with all the money going toward buying supplies for the animals.
