Tonight is lights out for Roodepoort and possibly Florida after Eskom announced this morning (Wednesday 15 July) that it will be implementing Stage 1 load shedding from 8.30am nationally.
In Roodepoort this means that Block 3B is scheduled to be load shed from 8pm tonight til 12.30am, according to both the official City Power load shedding schedule and the application, Grid Watch.
In Florida (Block 7B), should Stage 2 be implemented by Eskom during the day, the lights will also be out from 8pm til 12.30am.
Eskom confirmed the following via twitter:
#Eskom regrets to announce that Stage 1 #load_shedding will be implemented from 08:30 to 22:00 today.
