Shoprite talents find the gem inside

Numerous Shoprite employees were encouraged to find the gem inside them when they entered TOPstars 2015 Roadshow.

This is an exciting annual singing competition for all Shoprite Group workers. This empowering competition uses singing as a tool for ordinary workers to be exposed to goal-setting and empowerment.

The Gauteng Roadshow semifinal was held at Silverstar Casino where hopeful singers’ talent were put to the test. According to Robyn Oliver, TOPstars public relations and media liaison officer, the project is in its ninth year and is produced by Mynie Grové, renowned music business and TV personality and her AmaGroove Production Team.

Singer, actor and TV presenter Katlego Maboe was the celebrity artist, judge and master of ceremonies this year.

Many hopefuls took to the stage, but one contestant overwhelmed the judges with this talent. Thabang from Shoprite Silverton won the coveted trophy and now will compete in the grand finale on 17 October in Cape Town.
