VIDEO: Man injured in bus blaze

There were no passengers on the bus.

A bus caught fire on Hendrik Potgieter Road yesterday leaving one person injured.

According to ER24, the engine of the bus caught fire and the driver allegedly pulled over, suspecting that something was wrong.

ER24 paramedics tried to extinguish the fire, but could not tame it and the bus was soon engulfed in flames.

The bus driver was treated and transported to Flora Clinic for smoke inhilation and is currently in recovery.

The cause of the incident is unknown but police were on scene for investigation.
