A woman that was stuck under a car was freed and a man trapped in the vehicle was extricated yesterday following a collision at the Van Staden and Hendrik Potgieter intersection.
The woman, who was was travelling in the motorbike with a passenger was stuck under the car while the man, who was driving the vehicle was trapped within.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and assisted in lifting the vehicle, freeing the woman, while Fire and Rescue Services extricated the man from the vehicle.
These patients were assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown however authorities were on scene for further in investigations.
In another incident this weekend, 12 people were injured in a collision between a taxi and bakkie at the Hendrik Potgieter and Christiaan de Wet intersection.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the patients, all from the taxi, sitting on the side of the road.
The patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.
They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
