Load shedding to kick off the week

On Monday 7 and Tuesday 7 July residents of Roodepoort and Florida will be affected by load shedding, possibly up to eight-and-a-half hours at a time.

On Monday night whether Eskom decides to implement load shedding at Stage 1, 2 or 3 Block 3B will be cast in darkness from 6pm til 10.30pm.

Block 7B residents will not be affected if Stage 1 is implemented but should the grid require it and Stage 2 or 3 is implemented, electricity will be off from 6pm to 10.30pm. Additionally, should Stage 3 be implemented, Block 7B will receive an extra time slot from 10pm til 2.30am — thus, an eight-and-a-half hour blackout.

On Tuesday Block 3B residents are safe from load shedding at Stage 1 and 2, but should Stage 3 be implemented will be hit with a double time slot, from 2am til 6.30am and 6am til 10.30 am, again an eight-and-a-half hour blackout.

Block 7B residents will be load shed from 6pm to 10.30pm on Tuesday night irrespective of which stage is implemented.
