Protect your eyes against the sun

Wear sunglasses today to prevent damage to your eyesight.

National Sunglasses Day was introduced so that people would reap the benefits of protecting their eyes against harsh UV rays from the sun.

Here are four reasons why you should wear sunglasses not just today, but every other day:

1. Decreases dry-eye problems: Because of windy environments which dries out the eyes, some people suffer from dry-eye syndrome. Sunglasses act as a barrier to block the wind from coming into your eyes.

2. Glare is reduced: Sometimes when you are driving, you may experience a glare which might make you squint because of the sunlight reflecting on your window. By wearing sunglasses, you will not have to squint.

3. Less eye strain: When you squint, you add strain to your eyes and by wearing sunglasses, this is reduced.

4. You will look cool: Some people prefer wearing sunglasses at night because they want to look good. So no matter what you wear, by wearing a pair of shades, it will add a bit of style to your outfit.
