Little Miss SA fights for wildlife preservation

RUIMSIG — Local pupil chosen as voice of the youth for global cause.

The current title holder of Little Miss SA, Noelle du Plessis has been approached by Green Wall of Africa as their voice for the youth against wildlife extinction on the continent.

The Maragon pupil will be talking and raising awareness on topics of preserving Africa’s wildlife, in Los Angeles. The official launch of the project is expected to be next week.

As a voice for the youth, du Plessis will publicly speak about wildlife conservation, discussing issues around the subject with prominent figures from across the world.

Yolinda Freidmond, the Grade 7 pupil’s mother, said he daughter is thrilled to be chosen by Green Wall of Africa and Rhino SA.

“As a family, we are very supportive and so proud of her because this is what beauty with a purpose is all about. We are so glad that she has the opportunity to be involved in this very important project.”

Noelle will jet off to Los Angeles on 6 July where she will call on global leaders to join the movement.

“I am speaking on behalf of those who have no voice and this goes to show that being Little Miss South Africa is not about a pretty face, it is about making a difference and adding value,” the young title holder added.

Wisdom at such a young age is a rare commodity and it is without a doubt that du Plessis is set for success.

Green Wall of Africa is passionate about educating the youth to protect out wildlife for future generations and Noelle is proud to be a part of such an initiative.
