It’s all in the shake
Celebrate National Handshake Day by shaking the hand of a person you would not necessarily shake on any other day.
A handshake leaves a lasting impression.
The type of handshake you give, could make them either like or dislike you.
Today is National Handshake day and according to Psychology Today, an American magazine which focuses on relationships and work related issues, human resource administers sum people up within two to three minutes of contact.
They say first impressions last so the type of handshake could either determine the kind of person you are or what your mood is like at the time.
Here are a few negative types of handshakes:
1. The politician – People who shake with both hands
2. The sweaty palm – Their hands are sweaty, but they shake your hand anyway
3. The “I won’t let you go” – They have a complete grip of your hand and continue to talk to you while they are shaking it
4. The “dead fish” – need we say more?
