Zoya spoke up — and won

Her speech ‘The Diviner of the Road’ dazzled the judges, who made her the champion of the contest.

The West Rand Toastmasters were well presented at the South African Championship of Public Speaking which member Zoya Mabuto won.

The recent competition had Zoya’s public speaking skills measured up against the best speakers from Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and others from South Africa.

She will go on to represent South Africa at the Toastmasters International Convention in Las Vegas from 12 to 15 August this year, her club’s proud president Max Kaan told the Record.

“She speaks on leadership and governance and uses her ability to drive home positive messages about Africa and the role of women, in particular, in creating the African Renaissance,” Max said.
