Eagle Canyon Country Club turned 10 and in celebration they held a golf day at their course on 4 June.
The day was off to a cold start with golfers warming up on the putting greens before play was scheduled to start at 11am with the format being better ball stableford.
Director of golf at Eagle Canyon Country Club Dave Christie said the day went well with excellent rounds of golf being played although the windy weather made it a bit more difficult for the players.
Two journalists, Rick Marais and Nicholas Zaal from the Caxton Joburg North West branch competed in the competition with four-ball partners Allan and Lynn Jones. Zaal said, “It was an excellent day out although we only played nine out of the 18 holes. We have to thank Eagle Canyon for organising such a nice event.”
“I have to thank each player that came out in the cold weather to support us and for showing up in their numbers,” concluded Christie.
