MTN Innovation Centre will be the host for the MTN 21km race on Saturday 13 June.
The race will have a five kilometre walk, a 10km run and a 21km run.
The purpose of the marathon is to raise awareness of the annual MTN staff volunteerism initiative called MTN 21 Days of Y’ello Care and raising funds for ICT projects in disadvantaged schools.
The 21 Days of Y’ello Care campaign was launched seven years ago.
It has proved to be great success among MTN employees, who turn out in numbers to work at schools and communities every year.
The overall theme for 21 Days of Y’ello Care is Investing in education for all and the theme of the marathon is Walk or run for ICT education.
As in previous years, the programme will benefit communities where MTN operates by focusing on sustainable ICT initiatives through the provision of ICT facilities, educational equipment, materials and skills mentoring.
The race will start at 7am at the 216, 14th Avenue Innovation Centre in Fairlands.
