Sector 2 chairman steps down

HONEYDEW – Sector 2 chairman Neville Burnett says it's time for a new chairman as he decides to step down.

The Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) made the announcement at its AGM meeting on 2 June that Neville Burnett will be stepping down from his position as Sector 2 chairman.

Burnett said, “It’s time for me to pass the torch along and to step down as Chairman – it’s time for new ideas from a new chairman.”

Honeydew CPF public relations officer Jon Rosenberg explained that other positions are also opening up for Sector 2.

“Other positions that are opening up will be vice chairman, secretary, assistant secretary and project manager,” added Rosenberg.

He said that elections will take place inside the Honeydew SAPS boardroom on 25 June at 7pm.

“If anyone is interested in filling any of these positions they can feel free to contact per email: jon@jrestates.co.za before 20 June.”

“I have to thank everyone for their support as I have been a chairman since 2010 and it isn’t goodbye because I will still remain on the Honeydew CPF executive committee to battle crime in my Sector,” concluded Burnett.
