Pedestrian injured after being knocked over

Police to investigate.

A 59-year-old man was injured following a pedestrian accident on Main Reef Road near Winze Drive in Stormill this morning, according to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man had sustained serious injuries after being knocked over by a motor vehicle.The driver of the motor vehicle helped the injured man into his vehicle while they waited for emergency services to arrive.

The injured man was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the pedestrian accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
