Steve Ashley to perform at the Laerskool Horison Hall this weekend.

Steve Ashley will be performing at the Laerskool Horison hall this weekend.

The former lead singer of the iconic band The Staccatos will be belting out solid gold music from the 80s to the 90s.

Together with his dancers, Steve has promised his West Rand fans a show to remember.

He has also released a new album titled I’m Coming Home.

The album is a cover of classic hits such as Purple Rain and Bridge Over troubled waters.

“I did not copy the originals in any way. When you hear the songs that I covered, they are different. The songs I chose to cover are one’s that people will like and fit my own voice,” he said.

The icon was featured on Barney Simon’s Lekker TV programme on Kyknet about South Africa music legends last month.

Tickets for Steve’s show are still available at R100 by calling Ebeth Loots on 083 592 7442.

The show wll take place at Laerskool Horison’s Hall at 7pm.
