Winter sports festival

LITTLE FALLS – Trinityhouse Little Falls competed in the Curro Aurora Winter Sports Festival.

The Trinityhouse Little Falls High School competed in the massive Curro Aurora Winter Sports Festival on 23 May.

Schools came from far and wide – like Orion College. The games consisted of rugby, hockey and netball. “It was a hugely successful day enjoyed by all who attended,” said Paula Gouveia, personal assistant to Executive Head of Curro Aurora.

In the first game Trinityhouse Littlefalls played against Curro Bankenveld and narrowly won the game 19–17 – one conversion was the deciding factor in the game as both teams scored three tries apiece. Luke Cave, Cejay Coleman and Brad van Vuuren scored the tries and Cejay and Sean Steyn converted one each.

In the second game of the day against Curro Aurora, Trinityhouse Little Falls lost 5–19. “We saw a team on fire and playing with passion. The result, although a loss, was still an improvement in the end. Cejay scored the only Trinity try in the game,” said David Brown, senior deputy principal of Trinityhouse Little Falls.

They were marched to the field to defend their title against Curro Bankenveld once again. “Well done to Luke Cave who scored his second hat-trick of the season. He could not have done this without the awesome support from his backline and fellow forwards who unselfishly passed him the ball to score for the team,” added Brown.

Sean Steyn and Cejay converted the tries to end the game 21–14 in favour of Trinityhouse Little Falls.
