Woman airlifted to hospital

A woman sustained critical injuries and four other people sustained minor injuries in a head on collision between a bakkie and car at the corner of Peter and Walnut roads in Ruimsig on 9 May. ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing explained that when paramedics arrived on scene, they assessed the situation and called for ER24 to airlift the woman to a nearby hospital.

Bodasing continued, “All other patients, two from the bakkie and two from the car, were assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries.” These four were treated and transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
