A special Mother’s Day tea party was held for mothers and daughters at Isabella’s Cake and Food shop at Cradlestone Mall, Muldersdrift on 7 May.
The event saw a number of invited guests meet at the restaurant for a pampering session featuring a wide array of cakes and teas and complimentary talks about beauty tips and the longevity of roses.
Public relations manager for Cradlestone Mall Carey Christie was pleased with the opportunity for the mall to host a special event for their
mother-and-daughter clientele. “We decided to host this event to give moms and daughters a chance to come and have [a] relaxing morning, have some tea and cake, get a beautiful goodie bag and just be spoiled for the morning,” she said.
Chirstie explained that the event was scheduled on 7 May, because a lot of families already have plans for the weekend and for Mother’s Day itself. “It was a nice morning out, to just come out and have some fun,” she said.
When asked why Isabella’s Cake and Food shop was chosen for the event, Christie pointed out that the visual style of the restaurant suited the theme of this year’s Mother’s Day. “The management at the mall felt that Isabella’s was ideally suited for our theme this year which consisted of rose and feminine motifs. The venue was comfy and cosy, serving as a nice little intimate venue,” she said.
