A resident of Reyger Street in Witpoortjie was brutally gunned down earlier tonight.
At about 6 pm the man was standing outside on the pavement talking to his neighbour when allegedly a blue Ford pulled up. According to unconfirmed sources men got out and fired 15 shots at him without harming his friend.
The Western Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) was quickly on the scene securing it.
An eyewitness told the Record he drove past when he heard the shots. Regardless the fact that he had his two children in the vehicle he made a u-turn only to see the Ford drive off leisurely and picked up the suspects.
According to a bystander the shooting seemed like a planned murder with definite intent.
