Chicken Runners set off on tour

Club heads for Beit bridge.

17 excited Chicken Runners, Roodepoort’s very own Vespa club, left Roodepoort this past Saturday for their annual tour.

The group first met at Florida Junction where the Spar group handed over vouchers for the men they could use in every town. There after Fat Cats pub and grill hosted the group where they enjoyed a hearty breakfast.

This year the riders will travel to one of the most northern points of South Africa which is Beitbridge. The 2000km tour which will help to raise money for the Weltevreden Lions, will see the men staying over at Koedoeskop, Ellisras, Beit bridge, Tzaneen, Swadini, Graskop, God’s Window, Hazyview, Sabie, Nelspruit, and Loskopdam.

Last year the riders visited the most Southern Point of South Africa, Cape Agullahs.

The Chicken Runners will return to Roodepoort on 2 May.
