Stolen goods recovered from tenant’s quarters

Stolen goods were found with a tenant after the house's owner broke the door down in Hulley Street this weekend.

On Saturday 18 April Western Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) patrollers were alerted to the situation. Upon arriving on scene, they found that the owner of the property had broke down the door to his tenant’s quarters. Inside, they found jewellery that is believed to have been stolen in December last year. They also found various vehicles’ keys and plastic bags suspected to have contained drugs.

WSRNW spokesperson Frik van Zyl could not provide further details as the Roodepoort Police took over the scene. It is uncertain whether the tenant was arrested following the discovery. Roodepoort Police have not been available to comment.
