Three arrested for drug dealing in Fleurhof

Three suspects have appeared in court after being arrested for dealing dagga and other drugs from a house in Waxflower Street.

Florida Police reservists were active in the area, doing normal patrol duties, when they received information about possible drug dealing and possession of drugs on Friday 10 April.

They proceeded to the reported house and found three suspects where they were pretending to sleep. They requested to conduct a search which later revealed a plastic tub containing dagga and a white plastic packet which contained 57 wrapped newspaper parcels also containing dagga. They also found pipe glasses in a white bag, other drug paraphernalia and a white plastic bag containing a white powder suspected to be methcathinone (street name “cat”).

Florida Police spokesperson Lydia Dikolomelo confirmed that the three men, between the ages of 23 and 35, were arrested and detained for dealing in and possession of dagga and other drugs. They appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Monday 13 April.
