Entries now open for little chefs
STRUBEN'S VALLEY — Little chefs can now enter for the first Junior Super Chef competition.
Calling on all little ones aged 8–13 with a love for cooking, to join in the first Junior Super Chef competition.
Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley and Defy will run the competition on the West Rand from May to July, when the finals will be held.
“We have noticed a lot of interest from children with regard to the cooking appliances that we stock. This made us realise that there is an opportunity for us to assist with the encouragement of young chefs,” said CEO of Hirsch Group, Allan Hirsch.
The participants will get the opportunity to cook before an audience, using recently-launched products .
Prizes for the winners include appliances and products from Defy, the Jamie Oliver range and Hirsch’s gift vouchers.
“We really believe it is a great opportunity to encourage children to learn to use appliances correctly from a young age, as well as assisting in the kitchen,” Hirsch added.
