Taxi driver stabs motorist on Hendrik Potgieter

STRUBENS VALLEY – A motorist was stabbed in his arm by a taxi driver in an alleged road rage incident on Hendrik Potgieter Road.

A taxi driver allegedly stabbed a motorist in what is suspected to have been a road rage incident on 11 April.

It is understood that the taxi driver and motorist had pulled off at the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter and Krugerrand roads in Strubens Valley. Thereafter, the vehicles stopped and the taxi driver pulled a knife and stabbed the motorist.

“Our paramedics treated the motorist with stab wounds on his arm,” explained Denver Ramrain of Quick Response emergency services.

It is also alleged that the taxi driver drove off after the incident but the motorist managed to take down the taxi’s registration number. Honeydew Police are still to comment on the matter.
