21 people were injured this morning after two taxis collided at the JG Strydom Road intersection in Weltevreden Park.
ER24 paramedics were on the scene and found both taxis in the middle of the road.
“The front of one of the taxis was badly damaged after it rear-ended the second taxi.The occupants of the two taxis were found sitting on the embankment near the two vehicles,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
Paramedics assessed the situation and found patients only sustained minor injuries.
They were treated on-scene and transported to various hospitals for further treatement.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
