MULDERSDRIFT — Suspect arrested for possession of drugs with previous case pending.

A man in his early 30s was arrested for drug possession in Muldersdrift on 24 March.

According to Muldersdrift Police, officers accted on a warrant of arrest.

“The suspect allegedly went to the Douglasdale Police Station in December last year to apply for a police clearance. His fingerprints were taken and forwarded to the criminal record centre in Pretoria, where it was established that the applicant was wanted on a case docket of possession of drugs,” said Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya.

Muldersdrift Station Commander, Colonel Kgaogelo Seabi applauded the work and investigations of the team of detectives.

“We appreciate the work of our detective on the arrests made. There is no place in our country for criminal activity of any kind. The arms of the law are too long and all criminals will be found and brought to book to ensure the safety of our residents.”

The suspect is expected to appear int the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.
