Map: Gang targets Witpoortjie/Mindalore
Gang hits six times in in three weeks.
It is suspected that the same gang is responsible for a spate of violent robberies that were committed in the Witpoortjie/Mindalore area over the past three weeks.
The first one took place on 6 March in Barend Street, Mindalore and the latest one on 22 March in Michell Dames Street also in Mindalore. The gang allegedly consists of either three or four suspects and use a dark coloured vehicle. In two occasions they accessed the houses through the largest windows of the building and on two other occasions they casually gained access without forced entry.
The gang is heavily armed and prone to violent behaviour. In two incidents they hit a victim over the head with a firearm and on more than one occasion threatened to shoot.

The public is asked to be vigilant and to contact either SAPS or the neighbourhood watch should they spot the gang.
The Record is currently awaiting comment from the Roodepoort and Krugersdorp Police.
