A pedestrian accident on Ontdekkers Road in Horizon View left a 33-year-old man critically injured yesterday morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics were swiftly on the scene and found the man lying on the roadway.
They assessed the injured man and found he had sustained critical injuries after he was knocked over by a vehicle.
Netcare 911 Media Liaison Santi Steinmann said exact details surrounding the cause of the pedestrian accident and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
The critically injured man was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital, under the care of an advance life support paramedic for the urgent medical care.
