Donate for Machado’s funeral
STRUBENS VALLEY – Resident urges community to step in and support Victor Machado with his mother's funeral by raising money.
Residents of Strubens Valley will know Victor Machado as a man in a wheelchair who always has a smile on his face.
According to a resident, Mahado’s mother died on 21 March, following a stroke she had two weeks earlier.
Jacques van der Heever added, “He (Victor) is now left alone in the world and he doesn’t have any money to cover the funeral charges.”
Van der Heever explained that this has spurred the community to act.
“We have to do something to help so we have set up an account where people can pay money into in order to support Machado and his mother. We need to raise R6 500 to pay for the funeral that will take place on 28 March and the cremation, so we urge the community to jump in and help us out. If they can’t donate money they can also donate food for the funeral, so anything can help.”
