Meet Mrs SA finalist – Liesl Nativel

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Mrs SA semi-finalist Liesl Nativel says she aims to empower and inspire women.

Local resident Liesl Nativel was recently announced as one of the Top 100 semi-finalists in the Mrs SA pageant.

The 37-year-old mother of one, who lives in Weltevreden Park aims to take the country by storm through her charm and hardwork.

“I am so excited to be part of the Mrs SA pageant,” said Nativel.

“This is not just a pageant, it is a platform to empower women,” she said.

Nativel informed that she only entered the pageant on the last minute and is enthusiastic about being in the semi-finals.

“Being a housewife, I got off the couch and entered the competition, because I believe that this is the best competition to be in.”

Not only is she a beauty queen, but Nativel is also involved in making a difference though charity. “I am a volunteer at the Foundation Enfants Durgene. We also help with the soup kitchen, feeding 300 people, breakfast and supper in Claremont every day. The ever so gorgeous Nativel also said, she is inspired by children.

“Children inspire me and it is such a satisfying feeling to help children – I believe that there are a lot of needy people out there,” she said.

When asked why the country should vote for her, Nativel said she is self-driven, and she wants to make a difference by empowering and inspiring women.

“I am always up for a challenge, and hopefully, I make it through so that people can see what I am made off,” said Nativel.

Nativel hopes to be one of the 25 lucky women who will be selected to continue on the journey of becoming Mrs South Africa. The finalists will be announced at the annual Cansa Gala Dinner on 24 April at Emperors Palace’s Centre Court.
