Two armed robberies took place in Helderkruin yesterday.
Four armed suspects travelling in a black box shaped BMW without licensing plates entered a home in Chirona Street at about 1pm while two woman were inside. The suspects proceeded to rob the house and the woman came of unscathed but received trauma counselling afterwards.
According to a source within the security industry it is believed that the same four suspects were involved in another robbery at 6.30am in Boerneef Street. During the robbery the victims were tied up and cell phones and two firearms were stolen.
The Roodepoort police could confirm the robberies but not the link.
