A taxi lost control in Florida leaving seven people injured.

Seven people were left injured after a taxi collision at the Highway and Allen Street intersection in Florida this morning.

ER24 paramedics were swiftly on the scene and found that the driver of the taxi had apparently lost control, collided with a tree and finally came to rest against a large wall.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found seven people, including an 11-year-old boy, from the taxi had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. No one had sustained any serious injuries,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported the patients to various facilities including Johannesburg General and Helen Joseph Hospital for further observations.

Local authorities were on scene to begin their investigations into the cause of the collision.
