Charter College International High School announced the names of the pupils who excelled in the recent Cambridge examinations.
Many of their pupils received good results, and a few of them obtained well into the 90 per cent. The following students received high marks. Pupil Connor McBirnie was awarded the top achiever in South Africa for AS business studies, while pupil Matthew Frangakis was awarded the top achiever in South Africa for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) physics, chemistry and geography. Matthew also achieved a highly commended award for an IGCSE in information and communication technology.
Alara Venter was the the top achiever in IGCSE for first language English, while Panashe Hakutangwi received an award for an IGCSE in economics.
The pupils received full academic honours from their school for their outstanding achievements.
School principal at Charter College Alison Dodge congratulated the students and their teachers for all their hard work and effort, stating that the Cambridge curriculum is an international curriculum that really prepares students for tertiary education and life. “I am very proud of each of the pupils that excelled highly in their studies. These pupils have put in an immense effort,” she said.
