Parents’ orientation at Arrows of Destiny

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Parents spend the day in the classroom at Arrows of Destiny.

On Saturday 7 February all new parents at Arrows of Destiny had the opportunity to spend a morning at the school. Deputy principal Joy De Saint-Pern said this was just an exercise to let the parents familiarise themselves with their child’s school day.

“Arrows of Destiny uses a Christian-based curriculum which allows students to work at their own pace and it is also a mastery-based curriculum, ensuring the children understand a concept before moving ahead,” said De Saint Pernt.

Parents got to experience the classroom routine and all the procedures that their children are set to follow. They had to complete a booklet and memorise a scripture in order to receive their certificate of completion.

“It really assists parents in understanding what we expect in the classroom and assists them in being able to help their children get through school,” she concluded.
