JOBURG – AKA and Anatii’s new jam promises to be a banger.
Twenty-two-year-old hip-hop artist, producer and creative director Anatii has released his much-anticipated new single, The Saga, featuring rapper AKA. The track was first played on 5FM by DJ Fresh and later on Metro FM.
Not only is the The Saga a hit on radio, but it’s also taken iTunes and social media by storm.
The single debuted at Number 1 on the iTunes. South African Hip-Hop Chart and is still ranked Number 1 this week.
Upon its release, #TheSaga not only trended in South Africa but it was also a trending topic worldwide on Twitter, proving that Anatii’s music goes beyond South Africa.
Speaking about the track Anatii said, “It feels good to have my single debut at Number 1 on iTunes. The fans have been amazing and I’m very proud of this track with AKA”.
“The Saga is a very wavy track. The beat is very different. I try and fuse different sounds together that are not only African but also have a UK, US influence to make the track appealing to everyone. It’s what I call the ‘Electronic Bushman’ sound.”
Anatii is currently in studio working on his new album.
“This year I’m just all about producing more great music, releasing my album, The Electronic Bushman, more videos, more weight-loss and more greatness.”
