Gerard Sadan of Florida has been identified as the man who was found dead and burned beyond recognition in the boot of a vehicle on Monday morning.
According to provincial police spokesperson Major Mack Mgomezulu, Sadan was found burned beyond recognition with his hands tied in the boot of the vehicle. He said the vehicle belonged to a Randburg based company, Wild Cam. “We were in possession of a name of who the deceased might be but we first wanted to get confirmation that it was indeed him,” said Mgomezulu. He continued “The victim identification unit conducted DNA tests in order to confirm the identification of the deceased.”
Wild Cam declined to comment on the matter.
A case of murder has been opened at Florida Police Station. At this point, no suspects have been arrested and police request anyone with information to make contact with the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Adrian van de Werken on: 081 325 8628.
