The Roodepoort Police made two drug arrests on Wednesday morning during a stop and search operation.
The police were on Corlett Drive when they came across a 43-year-old woman carrying a sports bag.
Upon searching the bag, police found Sudo Ephedrine (Pseudoephedrine) which is a key ingredient in the manufacturing of tik or meth. The drug weighed 263,5 grams.
Later in the day, while police were still out on patrol in Albetina Sisulu, they arrested a 27-year-old man for the possession of dagga weighing 3,4 grams.
Both will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court this week on charges of dealing in drugs and dagga possession.
