Two injured in truck collision
RUIMSIG – Two men have been injured after vehicle had suffered brake failure, causing it to collide with the wall.
Two men have been injured this morning after a truck collided with a wall at the Doreen and Totius Road intersection in Ruimsig.
ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg West branch arrived on scene and found the large truck lying on its side against a residence wall. The two occupants of the truck were lying on the grass next to their vehicle.
On assessment, paramedics found that both men had sustained moderate injuries in the collision. According to ER24 no-one had sustained any serious injuries during the collision.
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Flora Clinic for further observations.
It is understood that the vehicle had suffered brake failure, causing it to collide with the wall.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
