On Friday night 13 February at around 10 pm the woman, believed to be in her forties, was hijacked. She succumbed to her injuries.
According to Quick Response Services spokesperson Denver Ramnaryn the woman was shot in the arm and the bullet entered her chest. She was declared dead on scene by Netcare 911 paramedics.
According to On Florida Community Forum’s Caleb Finn the hijacking follows two known previous hijackings in Prospect Street, Fleurhof and Wandel Street, Hamburg earlier in the week.
“We urge motorists to use extreme caution when driving and especially when leaving or arriving at the driveways to their homes,” Finn said.
“This is where most hijackings occur.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victim.”
