Man airlifted to hospital after accident on the N14
MULDERSDRIFT – ER24 rescues man trapped in his vehicle following an accident with a truck.
Traffic was backed up on the R28 / N14 from the Pinehaven-Hendrik Potgieter Road intersection this morning due to a collision between a car and a truck shortly after 8am.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said, “A man was airlif ted to hospital following a collision between the car he was driving and a truck on the N14 in Muldersdrift earlier today.”
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the man trapped in his car.
“The truck had collided with the driver’s door of the car and we had to reverse the truck to gain access to the vehicle.
“The ambulance was used to remove the car’s door and the patient was airlifted to a hospital shortly thereafter. The truck driver did not sustain any injuries,” concluded Bodasing.
