Alleged sword murder teen in court this February

Psychological reports to be presented to the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court.

The teenage boy, 16, that allegedly hacked his grandmother to death with a sword will again appear in court on 25 February.

This after a brief appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (4 February). His parents and grandfather were in court on Wednesday for emotional support.

Assessments by psychologists and social workers will be presented in court on 25 February.

Meanwhile the boy is in the Bosasa Youth Development Centre, which looks after youth that is in conflict with the low.

A sword that allegedly belongs to the boy was used to stab and kill his 76-year-old grandmother in their home in Roodepoort North on 15 December last year.
