Meet municipal entity representatives in Excel Park
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Take an hour off and come meet representatives from various entities at Ward 126 Resident Involvement Day at Excel Park on 23 February.
Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin said it is extremely important for the public to know and meet all of the relevant municipal entities in their area, and this made him decide to arrange a meeting between the public and representatives from various entities across Joburg.
“It is more than a meeting,” stated Tonkin. “The public will be able to chat to the representatives and have the opportunity to work with these entities on certain issues and problems in Ward 126.”
Tonkin added that the day will kick off at Excel Park at 8am and everyone is welcome to come down and lend a helping hand.
“It’s a exercise by our municipal entities to show residents in Ward 126 what they are doing for us as residents.”
He continued to say that the following entities will send their representatives and workers to the day: Metro Police, City Power, Pikitup, City Parks, Johannesburg Roads Agency, Environmental Health and Social Development.
Sector 2 chairman Neville Burnett added, “Its an opportunity for the public to come and meet the people from the various entities, so make time and come down to Excel Park on 23 February.”
“We will start off with issues in Excel Park and move to other issues in the ward after that,” concluded Tonkin.
