Long grass disrupts motorists

ROODEPOORT – Overgrown grass a problem on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Albert Street.

Tall grass on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Albert Street is turning into a problem as motorists are unable to see around the corner, says Ward 89 councillor Ingrid Reinten.

According to her, this has been a problem since November. “It shocks me, as the grass has been like this since November and nothing is done to rectify the situation.”

She added and explained that she sent in complaints to City Parks about maintaining the grass on the pavements in November and she followed up again in December and in January.

Resident in the area Jan Rossouw, also complained about the overgrown grass. “I have sent in a query to the entity and I have received two reference numbers and the grass is still not cut.”
