Temporary cable woes

Exposed wires and a dangerous temporary connection inside Five Star Business Park has resident Charmain Sorensen worried.

“Not only does it look shoddy, but it’s also dangerous as the cables are exposed and if someone were to touch it, they would most certainly die.”

Sorensen added that the other problems are power outages and these are not caused by load shedding, but instead by the temporary connection that has been like that since the construction of the business park about 10 years ago according to her.

Ward 97 councillor Jaco Engelbrecht said he is aware of the problem and he will apply pressure from his side until City Power decides to repair the issue.
