Injured man found in abandoned building
MULDERSDRIFT — What do you do when you find a badly injured stranger on your property?
A man was found badly injured in a discarded building on the weekend of 10 and 11 January.
Unable to talk, the man was transported to the Muldersdrift Police Station by a security service provider.
Terry-Ann Booyse from Drift Reaction security company advises against moving or transporting strangers on one’s property, especially if that person has been injured.
“It is tampering with evidence. If that person dies while you are transporting them, you could easily be charged with culpable homicide and open yourself up for police investigation.”
Booyse said the best thing to do if you ever find someone on your premises with severe injuries, is to call the police, your security company and the ambulance service. Why the man was taken to the police station was, however, a mystery as he was not deemed a suspect in a case.
Muldersdrift Police Station is yet to comment on the incident.
