The tardiness of City Power not only has a businessman up in arms but could potentially lead to someone’s death.
An electric box in the middle of the pavement in Adolphus Street in the central business district has been vandalised to such an extent four and a half months ago, that the components are now completely exposed. Although it has been wrapped in warning tape it will kill a person who touches it.
Businessman George Rosowsky who has reported the dangerous situation though is not happy with the city’s response.
Rosowsky’s key cutting business and the neighbouring business, a motor dealership both gets their electricity supplied from the box. When Rosowsky spoke to the urban inspector though he was told that if he wants the box repaired him and his neighbours will have pay for it.
“I have never heard of such nonsense,” says Rosowsky.
