Three arrested after gunpoint robbery

Female suspect tries to hide goods.

Three suspects have been arrested by the Florida police after robbing their victim with a gas pistol this past Tuesday.

The Florida police was alerted by police reservists that three suspects of which one was female fled in a white Volkswagen Fox with no registration plates after robbing the complainant of a cellphone and tablet. The robbery took place in Honeydew but the Florida police was alerted after the vehicle was spotted on Albertina Sisulu Road.

The police pulled them over and conducted a search but found nothing. Due to the fact that male officers are not allowed to search female suspects, the female suspect was taken in a separate vehicle to the police station to be searched.

At the station the complainant’s cell phone and a gas pistol was found on the female suspect. After interrogation the suspects led the police to Bosmont where they discovered that the tablet was already sold to a cell phone shop.
The three suspects, aged 20 to 39, were detained on charges of possessing an unlicensed firearm and being in possession of stolen property.

They also face a charge of common robbery at the Honeydew police station.
