Eight suspects are applying for bail in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday 10 December) relating to a robbery case in Goldman Street, Florida.
The suspects stand accused of robbing a Pep outlet on 30 October. After the armed robbery, residents gave the Florida Police information that led to the arrests.
The police pursued a Toyota Quantum minibus believed to be used as a getaway vehicle.
Eight suspects were arrested and an undisclosed amount of money and three firearms (one revolver and two pistols) were recovered.
Their bail application follows an appearance in court on Tuesday 9 December.
